    WATERLOO — A judge has sided with the new owner of the embattled Black's Building over a botched sale while the building's prior owner was in bankruptcy. Judge Rustin Davenport in March granted OSK XII LLC's motion for summary judgment against Covalt and Company Colorado Properties for at least $5.59 million. The final amount will determined at a later date pending the outcome of issues tangential to the case.

    WATERLOO — Jurors have found a Cedar Falls man guilty of having sex with a 15-year-old boy he met online. Attorneys for Brittyn Shane Nagel, 38, argued the teen had indicated he was 21 years old in his profile on the social media website – and then he said he was 19 and finally 18. Nagel also denied any sexual contact took place.

    WATERLOO — Police are investigating gunfire after a bullet hit a house in a Waterloo neighborhood Thursday afternoon. No injuries were reported. Neighbors in the area of Linwood Avenue and South Streets called 911 after hearing gunshots and seeing a vehicle leaving the area. One of the bullets struck the window of a home on Linwood. Officers found about a dozen spent shell casings in the roadway. No arrests have been made. Love Funny Wow Sad Angry
