Authorities said Murphree was the operator and lone rider of the motorcycle involved in the wreck.

A fiery two-vehicle crash closed part of Highway 79 in Jefferson County early Wednesday morning. The Center Point Fire District says they were called to intersection of Highway 79 and Goodrich Drive at approximately 1:15 a.m. on April 2, 2025. When they arrived, emergency responders found a passenger truck and a regional area delivery tractor trailer engulfed in flames. Two people were treated and the scene. One of the patients was transported to the UAB trauma center in critical condition.

A 21-year-old woman is dead after a shooting in Pleasant Grove Monday morning. The Jefferson County Coroner says Montrease Yvonne Booker was shot in the 1300 block of 7th Place in Pleasant Grove just before 5:30 a.m. on March 31, 2025. Booker died at the scene. The shooting is being investigated by the Pleasant Grove Police Department.

Wrecked early, scraped the wall by my own mistake, spent most of the race around 20th, a lap down - in the right place for a late caution to get lucky dog, the a little more luck to bring home 7th. What a wild night!
