County elections took place across Northeast Pennsylvania on Tuesday. Incomplete returns from various races:Luzerne County judgeA marquee race was the Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas to fill an 11th seat added to the bench. Attorneys Mark Bufalino and Tom Mosca were both cross-filed on the Republican and Democratic ballots. Bufalino appeared to win the Democratic nod with 13,197 votes, while Mosca appeared to win on the Republican ballot with 11,651 votes. The two will face off in the fall.

A Dickson City man said he was affectionately accosted by two squirrels over the course of two days. Matt Alger, 48, who works as a plumber, said he was in his parents’ backyard when the first squirrel befriended him. The Times-Tribune learned about the squirrel after Alger’s mother posted an inquiry on social media, seeking resources for the squirrel. “He came running up to me and ran up my hand and ran up my shoulder and was kicking me like a puppy,” he said. Alger called to his mom in disbelief.
