H.R. 3182, introduced recently by Bresnahan, would require that, upon assuming office, member of Congress and their spouses be banned from buying, selling or holding financial instruments. Exceptions include diversified mutual funds and a few other investments. Those in noncompliance may be fined.

Democrats voted to legalize cannabis in Pennsylvania by one vote this week. On Wednesday, H.B. 1200 was passed by the state House of Representatives. All 101 Republicans in the House voted against the bill, which would allow Pennsylvanians age 21 and older to legally purchase and use recreational cannabis in the commonwealth.
