    BERTRAND — The Hi-Line boys' track team took fifth with 60 points and the lady Bulls came in sixth with 32 Thursday at the Jerry Stine invite in Bertrand. Teams that competed were Alma, Bertrand, Loomis, Southern Valley, S-E-M and Wilcox-Hildreth. The boys team champion was Loomis with 114 and the Loomis girls had 176.5 points to claim the champion title.

    BERTRAND — The small, but mighty S-E-M Mustang track and field teams competed at the Jerry Stine invite Thursday in Bertrand. With 18 points, the boys finished in sixth place. The lady Mustangs finished in seventh with 24. Other teams that competed were Alma, Bertrand, Hi-Line, Loomis, Southern Valley and Wilcox-Hildreth. Both Loomis boys and girls teams claimed the champion title.

    LEXINGTON — The No. 1 seed Lexington Minutemen won the first round of the Central Conference tournament 11-0 over the No. 8 seed Lakeview Vikings Thursday evening at Ray Ehlers Stadium. Lexington will play in the semifinal at noon at Seward Elementary on Monday, April 21 on the west field. Sophomore Kendrick Marroquin got the Minutemen on the board in the third minute. Lexington went up 2-0 after a goal by senior Naelson Garcia in the fifth minute.

    LEXINGTON — The quarterfinal of the Central Conference girls' soccer tournament kicked off with a 3-1 victory for the No. 3 seed Lexington Minutemaids Tuesday evening over the No. 6 seed Schuyler Warriors. With the Minutemaid win, Lexington will play at 2 p.m. at the Seward Elementary east field on Monday, April 21. Lexington's Emmely Munoz hit a goal to get the Maids on the board in the 13th minute.
