    OGDENSBURG – Despite a massive city-wide revaluation that raised property values in the city by $86 million in 2023, Ogdensburg is not at 100 percent equalization, the city assessor said at a recent council meeting. A controversial citywide reassessment performed by GAR Associates raised the city's total property values by nearly 30% percent from $281 million to $367 million in a single year.

    OGDENSBURG — Ogdensburg has settled a years old lawsuit involving former City Mayor Jeffrey M. SKelly, former City Manager Stephen Jellie and former City Fire Captain Gerald Mack. In February Ogdensburg City Council approved a settlement to end a lawsuit filed against the former City Mayor Jeffrey M. Skelly and former City Manager Stephen Jellie. Although there were some delays it has not been officially settled, according to city officials.

    OGDENSBURG – More than 4$ million in state grants will pave the way for a new brewery on the city’s waterfront and help bring apartments to the city’s waterfront.  Gov. Kathy Hochul said the City of Ogdensburg will receive more than $4 million in Restore NY funding to support two transformative redevelopment projects in the City’s Marina District. BrewerySmall City Brewing Company also secured funding in this latest round.

    OGDENSBURG --  The Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority (OBPA) Board of Directors rejected all bids received for the planned new childcare facility,Officials say the lowest bid came in approximately $1.5 million over the project's construction budget. OBPA officials said C&S Engineers and OBPA staff conducted a detailed bid analysis and found that all submitted proposals exceeded the Authority’s financial plan for the project.
