    Northwestern University’s Native American and Indigenous Student Alliance hosted its fourth annual Spring Pow Wow on Saturday at Welsh-Ryan Arena. The event featured several hours of traditional Native American dances and performances from invited guests, including the Eagle Singers from the Indian Community School in Franklin Wisconsin, who you can see in the video below.

    The Evanston Farmers’ Market opened for its 50th season on Saturday morning, and the crowd quickly filled up with people shopping for fresh produce, bread, crepes, coffee and art from local vendors, among other things. The market opens at 7:30 a.m. (with early access at 7 a.m. for seniors and people with disabilities) every Saturday through Nov. 1 in the parking lot downtown just off University Place and Oak Avenue.
