PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A series of drug trafficking missions conducted in the Portland area earlier this year and involving multiple law enforcement agencies yielded 46 arrests and dozens of pounds of illicit drugs seized, authorities said. The missions focused on fentanyl trafficking and were conducted in the month of February. The multi-agency effort involved law enforcement entities on the local, state and federal levels.

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Visitors to the Grotto in Portland reacted to the news of Pope Francis’s passing, saying they were surprised to learn he died but were not entirely shocked given his recent health struggles. Pope Francis did make an appearance and offer a blessing on Easter Sunday, the holiest day in the Catholic religion. Visitors to the Grotto said they are sad to lose the Pope, but it is a special time of year in the faith to die.

An affidavit from Sarasota County obtained by KOIN 6 News says Leland Harper schemed this plot up from jail in Florida, but it all comes back to a previous sex abuse case in Portland.

VANCOUVER, Wash. (KOIN) – Between federal funding cuts and new tariff policies, food banks are trying to keep up and waiting to see how they will be impacted. Emily Straw, president of the Clark County Food Bank, said one of the biggest challenges they are facing is how little they know.
