Mary Louise Rollberg Segur, age 85, of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Manor Lake of Gainesville following a brief decline in health. Mary was born on August 19, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Clarence Thomas Rollberg and Elizabeth Ann Wilcox Rollberg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, J. Robert “Bob” Segur; and her brother-in-law, Ray Gregor. Mary’s life was dedicated to her family.

This report lists people arrested and booked into the White County Detention Center. The individuals identified have been charged with a crime, but are not presumed guilty.

(Cleveland)- The White County Board of Commissioners has given their blessing on the annexation of 27.19 acres of land just outside the City of Cleveland near Walmart for the purpose of constructing medical offices, an assisted living facility, and a hotel. Economic Development And Planning Director for the City of Cleveland, Tom O’Bryant, presented the plan to the commissioners during a work session/ called meeting by the commissioners Monday.

(Cleveland)- White County firefighters responded to an early morning shop fire Friday. White County Public Safety Director David Murphy said at 3:48 AM White County 911 Communications received reports of a commercial building fire on River Estates Road on the eastern side of White County. The occupant of an attached apartment was awakened to smoke and called 9-1-1. “Upon arrival, first responders found a private automotive garage with flames from the roof,” said Murphy.
