A Hungerford-based housebuilder has raised more than £15,000 for a Berkshire children’s charity. David Wilson Homes hosted a sunny day of clay pigeon shooting, food and fundraising. The event took place at Barbury Shooting School in Wiltshire in aid of Dingley’s Promise – a charity delivering life-changing nursery education and support for children under five with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

A dog owner who lost his beloved whippet, Willow, to Alabama rot is organising another fundraiser for research. Shaun Reynolds has organised A Celebration of Willow #2 at Lambourn Sports Club on Sunday, June 29, following the success of last year’s inaugural event which attracted more than 500 people. He hopes to reach his £20,000 fundraising target for the Alabama Rot Research Fund this month.
