To mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe, two poignant tributes were beamed onto the iconic bridge just outside Ipswich. One showed the Union Jack with the words VE Day 80 and the other shows the silhouettes of two soldiers standing underneath a burning beacon.

A 50p has been put up for sale for £25,000 in Woodbridge (Image: eBay) An "extremely rare" 50p coin has been put up for sale for £25,000 in a Suffolk town. The Benjamin Bunny coin was minted in 2017 to commemorate Beatrix Potter's 150th anniversary. The coin is part of the Beatrix Potter collection designed by Emma Noble, the reverse of this coin features the mischievous Benjamin Bunny, wearing the tam o'shanter hat borrowed from Mr. McGregor's scarecrow.
