A dog was rescued from the River Blyth after falling into the water (Image: RNLI Southwold) A dog had to be rescued after falling into a river from a harbour wall. On Monday, April 14, a one-year-old labrador had been walking on the beach when he fell into the water from the harbour wall on the Walberswick side of the River Blyth. His owners, who were visiting the county from London, called the coastguard for help.

Cadent is preparing to carry out a gas mains replacement project in the town later this month with work expected to be completed by October. Starting on Tuesday, April 22, the works will be carried out in Woodbridge Road from the junction of St Margaret's Road up to Rushmere Road.

Police were called to the major route at Kessingland at 8.25am on Monday after a tipper lorry containing gravel overturned at the roundabout with London Road and Whites Lane. Photos showed the the lorry on its side and a large amount of gravel spread across the road.

The crash happened in the B1106 in Brandon (Image: Google Maps/Newsquest) A woman has died following a single-vehicle crash in west Suffolk. Emergency services were called to the B1106 in Brandon, near Center Parcs, at about 11.20pm on Sunday. A spokesman for Suffolk police has now confirmed that the driver of the car - a woman in her 40s - was pronounced dead at the scene. The road was closed for several hours before reopening at 7am on Monday.
