+ Top 100 RP rankings for Saves + Holds leagues in 2024. Craig Kimbrel, Cionel Pérez, Jason Adam, Yennier Cano, Josh Hader, Ryan Helsley, Kevin Kelly, Tyler Rogers, JoJo Romero, and Jacob Webb all had three SV+HLDs this past week, with Kimbrel and Perez grabbing four. Obviously, there is a lot of Oriole representation here with Kimbrel, Perez, Cano and Webb. Perez misses the list as there’s little upside there, and really is only useful if he is getting multiple holds a week.

+ Ranking baseball's top setup options for the 2024 season. The Cardinals bullpen got a boost this past week with the return of Giovanny Gallegos, who has been one of the top set up man in baseball in the not too distant past. I’m not too optimistic on Gallegos returning to that form, as his velocity is still down as of his first game back from the IL, but it’s also his first game back so it’s fair to give him some more time to get up to speed.

David Roberston has been locked in as the Rangers’ top setup man, with sparkling ratios and a 35.5% CSW and the highest Stuff plus in that Rangers bullpen (120). He’s been throwing his knuckle curve more often this season, dropping his slider usage (which has been knocked around) while also utilizing the changeup more against lefties than in years past.

Yency Almonte, Lucas Erceg, Kyle Finnegan, Yimi García, Hunter Harvey, Ryan Helsley, Raisel Iglesias, Mark Leiter Jr., Tyler Rogers and JoJo Romero all had three SV+HLD’s this past week. Almonte has seen an uptick in hold chances with the Cubs bullpen down Julian Merryweather, but I’m not buying into him being a longterm option yet. The 30.6% K rate is nice but it comes with a 14% BB and 8.6% SwStr rate.
