CHICAGO — Clocks across Chicago will “spring forward” one hour Sunday morning, setting in motion the annual bemoaning or celebrating of the start of Daylight Saving Time. The instant jump from 2 a.m to 3 a.m can and even slow metabolism or cause cluster headaches, according to Northwestern Medicine. But the hour move immediately basks Chicago in more late afternoon daylight. Saturday’s sunset is 5:49 p.m. Sunday’s sunset 6:50 p.m. The city’s first 7 p.m. sunset is Tuesday, March 18.

CHICAGO — You might hear something tomorrow morning in Chicago that we haven’t heard in months: a rumble of thunder. Spring-like weather has taken over Chicago this week, following last week’s polar vortex that sent wind chills 20-degrees below zero. Monday’s temperature topped out at 53 degrees, and Tuesday’s high will likely be a bit warmer. Wednesday morning may see some showers and potentially a brief thunderstorm roll through the area, according to WGN-TV weather producer Bill Snyder.
