A police investigation is underway in downtown Miami early Wednesday. The scene is across the street from the Brightline station, and appears to focus on the tracks between Northwest 6th and 8th Street. NBC6 crews saw how an ambulance burst through crime scene tape to drive onto the train tracks. Video of the scene showed how authorities set up a blue tent. The nature of their investigation, including if anyone was hurt, was not immediately known.

Lauren Licea has dreams. She wants to go to college some day. She also wants reconstructive surgery on her face. That's because in 2018, a car crash left her paralyzed, and broke most of her facial bones. "I don't remember the day of the accident," Lauren said, reflecting on what happened. But her mother can't forget it: August 19, 2018. Lauren was just 16. Stefanie Celis recalled seeing her daughter at the hospital. "I'll never forget that, the first time I saw her," Celis said.

Video shows the fiery aftermath of a crash in Hollywood that led to three people being hospitalized on Tuesday. Hollywood Fire Rescue and Police responded at around 8:15 p.m. to reports of a crash involving two vehicles at the intersection of 66th Avenue and Sheridan Street. The victims were all rushed to the hospital as trauma alert patients, but more information on their conditions has not been provided.

Flames ripped through a trailer at a Sweetwater mobile home park where some 200 residents are locked in a fight with the landowner. The fire broke out before midnight Tuesday at Li'l Abner Mobile Home Park. That's where more than 900 residents first received eviction notices last November, learning they'd have until May 19 to move out. Firefighters showed up and started putting out the flames. There are no reports of any injuries. It's unclear whether someone was still living in the trailer.

Authorities are still searching for whoever shot and killed a 19-year-old woman during a party at an Airbnb in Fort Lauderdale. The shooting happened around 4:30 a.m. Monday at a duplex at 828 Southwest 16th Street. According to Fort Lauderdale Police, it started with some sort of altercation and ended when a man pulled out a handgun and shot 19-year-old Myrah Zeigler.
