UPDATED 11:40 a.m. SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – Twenty-six people face charges for crimes at the State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls. Two of those people are accused of providing the illegal drugs that led to inmate deaths, according to South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley. In a news conference Tuesday, Jackley announced 24 inmates have been indicted on charges in connection to May 27 fights at the State Penitentiary that left 14 inmates injured.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – Black bears have been spotted in South Dakota this week. According to the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Department, there’s been two confirmed black bear sightings. David Dalke sent KELOLAND News a video of a black bear at Pelican Lake on, which is located just southwest of Watertown. The bear was spotted on Wednesday evening. His dog barking at the bear is seen the video above.

Johnson responds to Doeden calling him ‘evil’ In a report published just before 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, CNN reported Noem, the Department of Homeland Security Secretary, was taken to the hospital by an ambulance according to “two sources familiar with the matter.”CNN reported Noem was conscious and spoke with her security detail.
