    Nicole Weber is turning the page on her time as Sheldon Public Library’s director. Weber turned in her letter of resignation to the city manager Sam Kooiker on Tuesday, April 29. The resignation will be effective May 30 if approved by the library’s board of trustees during its monthly meeting Wednesday, May 21. “This decision was not made lightly, and it comes after carefully considering my personal and professional goals,” Weber wrote in her resignation letter.

    Construction crews have been making steady progress on the $33 million Sheldon High School expansion and renovation project. Dirt started being moved in August followed by concrete getting poured and steel frames put into place on the south, east and west portions of the building for the expansion part of the project. Walls went up shortly after that and then roof work was done.
