EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio (WKBN) – Construction could slow down drivers in East Liverpool beginning Wednesday morning. Crews will begin setting new beams on the 9th Street bridge. That means intermittent traffic stops and ramp closures near the U.S. Route 30, state Route 39 and the state Route 7 interchanges. Work runs daily from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday. WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Warren city leaders want the state to investigate the former owner of Insight Trumbull Hospital. Mayor Doug Franklin sent a letter to Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, asking the Medicaid Fraud Unit to investigate Steward Health Care. Franklin accuses Steward Health of illegally withholding Medicaid and Medicare funds from the hospital. Insight bought the facility out of bankruptcy last year and has invested over $30 million but can’t access the funds it needs to operate.
