Vendors from Fairbanks to Port Ashton packed the Menard Center in Wasilla over the weekend, offering everything from tours and trips to sauces to seminars and everything in between for the annual Mat-Su Outdoorsman Show. Nearly 200 vendors took part in the event over a three-day period, spilling into the second-floor mezzanine, to offer visitors at all the exciting things to see and do whether close to home or trekking out to explore the Last Frontier. kAm“%9:D :D 3:8[” D2:5 s2?

Veteran residents at the Pioneer Home in Palmer were transported back to an era long gone, April 4, as ladies-veterans themselves-visited the home, dressed in 1940s attire, bringing with them a little blast from the past to boost morale for their fellow Veterans. It was part of the ‘Pin-Ups for Vets’ 20th year, and also marking the 50th state on their 50-state tour to honor our Alaska Veterans. kAm“%96 4@?46AE 92D 366?

During the April 1 meeting of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough (MSB) Assembly, members voted on two different ordinances impacting Road Service Areas (RSA) in two parts of the Borough. First up was an ordinance to reduce the number of members to serve the Knik Road, RSA 17, from five to three members passed. This comes two years after the same RSA increased to five members back in September, 2023 to allow for more public input.
