    ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - A few hundred people from nine Catholic parishes in Anchorage participated Friday in the city’s annual Good Friday Faith Walk. According to Father Patrick Travers, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Anchorage-Juneau, the walk is meant to reenact the stations of the cross in Jerusalem — a path through the old city traditionally regarded as the one along which Jesus Christ walked from his trial by Pontius Pilate to Calvary.

    ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - Government agencies are warning Alaskans and visitors about misinformation being spread online on the potential eruption of Mount Spurr. In a press release Thursday, the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHSEM) said it — along with the Alaska Volcano Observatory, National Weather Service, local governments and others — has noticed several false or misleading social media posts regarding the Mount Spurr volcano.

    ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU/Gray News) - Seventh grade students in Alaska are pitching in to help the homeless. The students at STrEaM Academy in Anchorage have designed and built a tiny house to address the city’s housing needs. The project started last year with the school’s then-seventh grade students and involved research researching local housing needs and creating blueprints. The house, which measures 8 feet by 8 feet, has a seven-degree roof angle to manage snow and rain and cost $3,650.58.

    COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - After a warm and dry Friday, the Valley shifts back to the typical summertime pattern of afternoon/evening showers and storms for the weekend. Temperatures this morning are mild in the mid-70s for most spots but will try to warm to the upper 80s to low 90s if the rain doesn't cool spots off earlier.
