    Christy McGovern finished with a one-vote lead over Afaq Syed in the race for a Lisle village trustee seat, unofficial results showed. For a few candidates in DuPage County, the election isn’t quite over. The race for the fourth and final available school board seat in Queen Bee Elementary District 16 has ended in a tie, according to results that are technically still unofficial. Merima Biacan and William Staunton each received 895 votes. Marjorie Fierro, the top-vote getter, finished with 1,044.

    Revenue generated by all three golf courses run by the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County totaled $8.38 million last year, the agency’s director of golf said Tuesday. The district owns The Preserve at Oak Meadows in Addison, sister course Maple Meadows in Wood Dale and the 9-hole Green Meadows in Westmont. The $8.38 million in combined revenue was the highest total on record for the district’s three “golf preserves,” Ed Stevenson confirmed.

    The Wheaton Oaks office park looks out on Elliot Lake, named after the founder of Elliot Construction. “It’s a beautiful, quiet area,” said Rick Lewellyan, a Wheaton resident and owner of Innovate Real Estate. The campus parking lot also was mostly empty on a recent work day. With an older office complex on their hands, the property owners are asking the city to rezone it to help pave the way for a future multifamily development.
