HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -Herd That got right to the point in its first round TBT win over Jackson, TN Boom at Rupp Arena. The Marshall alumni team built a 49-26 halftime lead and cruised to a 92-57 win. Jacorey Williams led Herd That in scoring with 17 points and former Herd star Stevie Browning hit the game ending 3-pointer to hit the Elam Ending target score of 92 points. HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -It’s a bit of a jump from Cabell Midland High School to pitching in the Appalachian League but former Cabell Midland star and Marshall signee Kenyon Collins is handling the jump just fine. Collins helped Cabell Midland to the Class AAA state championship in June and was also 1st team all state. He started his 2nd game with the Tri-State Coal Cats Thursday night and after the game manager Tommy Gregg gave his analysis of Collins’ night.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -Football coaches form a small fraternity, but the Culicerto brothers come from a big football family and will be reunited this week in Institute. Vince Culicerto is the head coach at Shady Spring High school in Raleigh County and he’s the head coach for the South in the annual all star football game. His older brother Phil is his assistant at Shady and this week, they’ll be on the same sidelines trying to lead the South to its first win over the North in seven years.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -Cabell Midland’s winningest ever football coach is leaving Ona for Kentucky to become the next head football coach at Corbin High School. Salmons was head coach at Cabell Midland for 13 years, took his teams to 2 Class AAA title games (2012 & 2019) and won 118 games in his tenure. he released a statement on his departure. “I have given my heart and soul to coaching football here for the past 13 seasons and have loved every minute of it.
