WATERLOO — DeKalb needed two pitches to establish control. Drake Hall hit the first pitch of the game against Blackhawk Christian Tuesday into the right-center field gap for a triple. Brady Vince hit the next pitch over the right-field fence, and the two-run homer had the Barons off and running. They sent 15 batters to the plate in the first inning and scored 10 times, and cruised from there to a 12-1 victory. The game was stopped in the fifth inning due to the 10-run rule.
