As the possibility of snow and frigid cold temperatures loom over the rest of this week, schools and public offices throughout Talladega began announcing plans to close Friday. Talladega City, Sylacauga City and Talladega County Schools will all be out Friday, with all extracurricular activities cancelled as well. Students at the Alabama Institutes for Deaf and Blind who normally go home by bus for the weekend will leave Thursday rather than Friday this week.
