pinterest.com For a while there, thanks to an easy opening homestand, the White Sox were in a tie for first in the AL Central (also tie for last, but we won’t mention that) because of some very good pitching, occasional long balls, and the division reverting to its historically incompetent self for a week. David Reginek-Imagn Images For the third game in a row, a White Sox starting pitcher who had an excellent first outing this year had a miserable second one. Geoff Stellfox/Getty Images Jonathan Cannon struggled early, with a 34-pitch first inning, but got help from a familiar sight to White Sox fans: Yoán Moncada taking a called third strike with two men on. Cannon struggled some more in the second, but got a double play with two men on to escape damage.
