Before I get to the lineup, here is the latest news:Prior to today’s series finale vs. Detroit, the Chicago White Sox recalled right-handed pitcher Owen White from Class AAA Charlotte and optioned right-hander Caleb Freeman to Charlotte.

As I warned everyone in the game thread, don’t expect a win this series because the Tigers are mighty (and the best team in Major League Baseball right now). The White Sox as a whole had a game full of woes and lost spectacularly. At least it wasn’t a shutout, right? Jonathan Cannon started off battling 3-0 to strike Parker Meadows out, but the first hit came quickly with a single from Gleyber Torres.

If you’re expecting a win in this series, I’ve got bad news for you: The Tigers are in town and sitting pretty at the top of the league. And not just the American League Central, the WHOLE league. Daniel Kucin Jr.-Imagn Images Another tough one for the White Sox, as they lose 3-2 to the Orioles to cement a sweep at Camden Yards in three close games. This was a slow offensive day for both teams, and another great outing for new South Sider Adrian Houser. The Orioles “improve” to 22-36, while the White Sox now fall to 18-41, as they are 3-7 in their last 10 games. Houser and O’s vet Charlie Morton cruised through the first two innings, but trouble hit in the bottom of the third.

It’s been a close two games that have gone the O’s way thus far, as ninth inning comebacks have fallen short for the South Siders. They will try to salvage the last game of the series today, as new White Sox Adrian Houser will be on the mount against Charlie Morton.
