LAST Saturday was a day of palpable relief, unbridled joy and success for Bradford City. Perhaps above all else, it was an occasion when the city of Bradford - one which has taken some hefty blows over the years - gloriously came together as one. A mass claret and amber gathering of Bradfordians of all colours and creeds, young and old, celebrated and savoured the moment as their team achieved promotion, just; in front of a record fourth-tier crowd of over 24,000 at a happy Valley Parade.

ROTHERHAM United have released senior first-team players Dillon Phillips, Andre Green and Alex MacDonald as they kick-start what is expected to be a considerable summer overhaul following a disappointing 2024-25 campaign. The trio will all depart the club when their deals expire next month. Goalkeeper Phillips, 29, leaves after two seasons at the club. He made 35 appearances last term.

Just a year on since reopening the club’s full academy beyond under-17, under 19 and B Team groups and achieving Category Three status, the club’s rank has been upgraded following an audit, re-evaluation and inspection by the relevant authorities.
