Passengers flying in and out of the Pittsburgh International Airport will embark on a new travel experience when it's new landside terminal opens later this year. Construction on the $1.57 billion terminal modernization project is more than 80-percent complete. The new landside terminal will connect to the airside terminal, eliminating the "people mover" shuttle rides to flight gates. 21 News was invited to join the final media tour ahead of its grand opening to the public.

NewsLocal county health officials in the Mahoning Valley are starting to see a drop in opioid and fentanyl overdose deaths so far this year. They say multiple approaches and programs could be helping. Fatal drug overdose deaths are trending downward in the Mahoning Valley in 2024. For the first seven months of the year, Trumbull County has 30 confirmed opioid overdose deaths. County health officials are tracking a trend of fewer deaths so far this year and fewer overdoses overall.

NewsA new statue made of recycled gear pays tribute to the Youngstown City firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty. A new tribute to remember heroes who lost their lives battling fires in Youngstown is on display in downtown Youngstown. The original memorial site in the city was in need of major repairs. Youngstown Fire Lieutenant Paul Lutton says the department formed a committee to decide how to proceed with repairs.
