Gaona shared her reaction after four middle school students showed up to school and impaired, according to Keith King, the Granville County Schools District Safety Officer. "It's a little worrying because I have four kids," Gaona said. King said the students ranged from 12 to 13 years old. "Very concerning," is how he described the incident. "Slurred speech, a little lethargic, just truly not fully coherent," King told WRAL Investigates about the children.

Bad artwork, dangerous conditions and very little oversight. WRAL Investigates caught the attention of North Carolina lawmakers, who are now calling for more regulations into the state's tattoo industry. WRAL Investigates visited Valkyrie Tattoo & Piercing in Burlington, where one of the shop's co-owners said better protections for clients should have happened a long time ago. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement carried out a raid in Raleigh over the weekend they say nabbed a suspected member of violent prison gang from Venezuela. Ricardo Granadillo-Padilla, 24, was taken into custody on Saturday. Wake County jail records show he was being held on a federal detainer. It's not clear if he's still in custody locally or was transferred to an ICE holding facility in Alamance County. The raid, according to ICE, also involved the U.S. Marshals Service.

RALEIGH, N.C.--May of 2024, long time Raleigh firefighter Nicholas Banister and his wife Amanda were arrested on dozens of drug trafficking charges. It all stemmed from an Alcohol Law Enforcement investigation into illegal drug sales in Glenwood South and other downtown areas. While in jail, they were hit with another punishment: An excise tax from the North Carolina Department of Revenue. The tax bills totaled $578,000 for the drugs agents say they found in the couple's home on Long Cove Court.

Those 2024 coach extensions are really paying off for @PackFootball and @PackMensBball. Both teams are unwatchable.

Can someone explain to me why the @ChicagoBears still have the same coach? How many quarterbacks do you get to ruin?

Grew up going to/watching the @Orioles. Went through some bad years. Now we’re supposed to be good again… but aren’t. 162 games don’t matter when you score 1 run in 2 games and get swept again. Smells like B.O. Isn’t that ironic, don’t you think?
