MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Hundreds of musicians around Madison took part in a tradition of sharing free music all around the city on Saturday. June 21 is Make Music Day, an international day where music can be heard from street corners, parks, rooftops, gardens and stores. Over 600 artists and performers celebrated the day by showcasing a wide variety of different music genres and styles at over 175 venues. Dozens of other cities and towns in Wisconsin participated in the day.

TOWN OF HUSTISFORD, Wis. (WMTV) - A 53-year-old man is seriously hurt after a farming accident on Saturday, according to the Dodge Co. Sheriff’s Office. Officials with the Dodge Co. Sheriff’s Office and the Hustisford Fire Dept. responded to State Highway 60 in the town of Hustisford for a 53-year-old man trapped underneath a skid steer. Fire personnel freed the man from the skid steer and he was transported by Flight for Life to Aurora Summit Hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.

(WMTV) - 65-year-old Sedenia Furlow celebrated receiving her High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) after working with a Literacy Network tutor and taking classes at Madison College. “I said ‘God, I know you got something planned for me for me to be here.’ So this is definitely a really big deal for me.” she said. “I’m very excited.”Two ceremonies were held at Madison College’s Goodman South Campus on Saturday: the Student Achievement Ceremony and the Omega Graduation.
