SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Give for Good, powered by the Community Foundation of North Louisiana, is here. The annual 24-hour online giving challenge event will occur on Tuesday, May 6. The day will raise thousands of unrestricted dollars for local nonprofit organizations and raise awareness of their essential work in the community. According to Give for Good, in 2024, over $2.94 million was raised during Give for Good, which went directly to nonprofits in our area.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – As summer travel season heats up, the Shreveport Regional Airport will require a REAL ID beginning Wednesday, May 7. According to Homeland Security, on May 7, 2025, U.S. travelers must be REAL ID compliant to board domestic flights and access certain federal facilities. The new identification card will have a gold star on it for travelers to get TSA checkpoint approval.
