SAN ANTONIO - City Council made moves to toughen the penalties for irresponsible dog owners. It's an issue we've been following for nearly 2 years, following the mauling death of 81-year-old Ramon Najera. Here's some of what is being done - The city is increasing the fines for negligent dog owners. They will also require any owned dog picked up by ACS to be spayed or neutered, and they will protect people who report dangerous dogs by letting them stay anonymous for at least part of the process.

Authorities informed family members this afternoon that Suzanne’s DNA has been identified on a reciprocating saw, which was mentioned in an indictment that came down on Tuesday. Suzanne Clark Simpson, a mother of four and a realtor, was last seen Oct. 6 at her home in Olmos Park.
