Madison City Council adopted an ordinance on Tuesday to place two additional three-way traffic stops on Vaughn Drive to slow vehicles and make conditions safer for pedestrians at the intersections of Jefferson Street and Broadway. The proposal, endorsed by Police Chief Shawn Scudder, was given a first reading, advanced to a second reading by suspending the rules and unanimously approved 5-0 with Council members Lucy Dattilo and Jim Bartlett absent.
