    ONE of the North’s leading water companies dealt with over 800 sewer blockages last year as concerns are raised over how the waterways and its contents could be affecting public health. NI Water revealed there were 831 sewer blockages in Fermanagh in 2024, with a massive 419 cases reported in the BT74 area in Enniskillen, the worst offending area in the county.

As reported by the ‘Herald today (Wednesday), it’s understood discussions have been ongoing over the future of St Michael’s College and St Joseph’s College and a proposed school merger. Speculation is also mounting over a proposed merger between Mount Lourdes Grammar School and St Fanchea’s College.

Ernie Fisher, Kieran McAnallan, Felix Mooney and Brian McCormack sold the popular city centre hotel for an undisclosed sum. The hotel, which has a team of 160 staff, has been an established and well-loved part of the Armagh community since it first opened 23 years ago.
