    AN ENNISKILLEN man accused of planting a bomb in Co Louth has been refused bail. Yesterday (Tuesday), Omagh Magistrates Court heard the bail application of Emmett Maguire (43) of Station Road. Maguire, alongside 43-year-old Rory Logan of Ross Close, are jointly charged with allegedly transporting and planting a bomb in Co. Louth on June 8, 2024. At court yesterday a bail application was mounted on Maguire’s behalf by defence counsel Andrew Moriarity.

    ENNISKILLEN singer-songwriter Neil Hannon says the tracks on his upcoming album is “as an outlet for those feelings” he experiences in his life as he prepares for another step in his career. The 54-year-old. who is the frontman for ‘The Divine Comedy’ group, recently confirmed the band would be releasing a new album, ‘Rainy Sunday Afternoon’, later this year, on September 19. It will be the first release for ‘The Divine Comedy’ since their last album ‘Office Politics’ in 2019.

    AN ENNISKILLEN man is to contest a number of charges from an alleged incident last year. Kieran Joseph Redmond (37) from Sligo Road, Enniskillen is charged with threatening to destroy a house, damaging a car, and damaging a G4S electronic tag. There are also motoring offences including driving without insurance and having no MoT.

    A RYANAIR plane bound for Belfast from Poland had to make an emergency landing after an Enniskillen woman reportedly became “disruptive” leaving passengers stranded in the country. Video footage has emerged showing a woman being escorted off a Ryanair plane on Tuesday (June 3) after it was forced to stop in Wroclaw Airport, on its route to Belfast International Airport.

Young accordion players and musicians from across the county turned out to ‘The Ramblin’ House’ for a session which was led by the 2022 Senior All-Ireland Piano Accordion champion.
