    SIOUX CITY -- A man identified only as "Ron" won the largest cash jackpot in the history of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, the casino said on social media Tuesday. Ron won $466,857 at a slot machine, according to the post and an accompanying photo of the machine, which displayed the message, "Jackpot Call Attendant." The Hard Rock opened in August 2014.

    LAWTON, Iowa -- The Golden Whisk, a bakery specializing in "stuffed cookies" and cookie-cakes, will open Friday in Lawton. The bakery, 1909 Highway 20, is run by the Sioux City sisters Rylee Schmitt and Sami Garrison, who've been working on the project for months. "Cookie-cakes, and just cookies in general" will be The Golden Whisk's stock-in-trade, Schmitt said.
