    LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - An Arabian horse show is kicking off at the Sandhills Global Event Center this weekend, bringing horses from a number of different states to Lincoln. The nonprofit Arabian Horse Association of Nebraska’ is putting on the production, starting at 8 a.m. Friday with events running all day. It will continue on Saturday with times still to be determined.

(KOLN) - After voters overwhelmingly approved medical marijuana last year, Attorney General Mike Hilgers was joined by sheriffs across Nebraska on Wednesday to speak in opposition of a proposal that would implement regulations for the drug. As it stands now, Initiative 437 made medical marijuana legal in Nebraska, stating that patients can have up to five ounces of cannabis for medical purposes with a healthcare practitioner’s written recommendation.

As part of the May Art and Thrift event at The Bay, students crafted their own small business set up, selling everything from shirts to jewelry to framed photography.
