This year, 112,000 owners are seeing changes out of the 123,000 properties in Lancaster County. Those who are looking to contest the home valuation numbers have until the end of June to write a protest. Once that deadline passes, the numbers can not change.

SIDNEY, Neb. (KNOP) - An investigation is underway in Sidney after law enforcement say a woman’s body was found in a ditch Tuesday. The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Mattea Scheuerman of Greensburg, Indiana. According to Cheyenne County Attorney Amber Horn, the Cheyenne County Emergency Communications Center received a report of a body floating in water at 8:03 p.m. near 7th Avenue and Maple Street.

(KOLN) - Nebraska swimmer Gena Jorgenson made a splash at the 2025 Toyota USA National Championships in Indianapolis, shattering her own school record in the 800-meter freestyle with a time of 8:33.79 on Tuesday night. The standout performance earned Jorgenson a sixth-place finish in the event’s fastest heat, which featured none other than world record-holder Katie Ledecky, who won the race in 8:05.76, just over a second off her world-best mark of 8:04.12 set last month.

NORFOLK, Neb. (KTIV) - Authorities in Norfolk, Nebraska, are investigating a reported shooting, but the victim is not cooperating. Norfolk Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 800 block of South 2nd Street just after midnight Tuesday. Authorities say the caller reported that a person had been shot in the head and the person who did it had left. When officers with the Norfolk Police Department arrived, they learned a BB gun had been fired.
