    ROCHESTER, Minn. - Students at Rochester Community and Technical College now have the chance to fortify digital frontiers and halt hackers. RCTC has revealed a new cybersecurity degree being implemented next fall. As cyber attacks become more common, RCTC hopes to add a boost to the workforce. According to the school, there are over 6,500 job openings in the field in Minnesota alone. The program will introduce five new classes covering security systems, problem solving, and internships.

    ALBERT LEA, Minn. - The city of Albert Lea wants to turn three properties, purchased for $1 each, into affordable options for home buyers. The city council agreed to buy the blighted buildings during Monday night's meeting. According to the city council, the previous owner was unable to pay property taxes and the homes were some of the most likely to collapse. Those factors combined allowed the city to pay a dollar for each of the three houses as part of its Demolition Diversion project.

According to the study, only 5% of people surveyed rated the quality of Minnesota's urban roads as 'poor,' with 3% rating our rural roads as 'poor.'This is on top of the state having only 0.76 deaths per 100 million miles driven, the second lowest rate in the union.
