This is an entirely overhauled map in that we’ve combined Carroll Gardens and Cobble Hill. Since the neighborhoods are small and somewhat intertwined, it’s no big deal to walk down Court Street from one to the other, especially in the warmer weather. The restaurants in both neighborhoods have been satisfying locals and visitors for a while now. The stretch has always featured solid neighborhood spots and red sauce classics.

Liz Clayman/Bar Bianchi Hitmaker of downtown bars, Jon Neidich, has been on a streak the past few months: He opened medieval Monsieur with Baz Luhrmann and refurbished dive bar essential Lucy’s, adding to his growing list of nightlife spots, which already included the Nines and Le Dive. This week, he debuts Bar Bianchi, a bar and restaurant made to look like the kind of leisurely hangouts in Milan where you’d be drinking a spritz with a cigarette in the other hand.

Patties are generally a high school nostalgic food for me — warm, comforting, and filling.

Today marks an overhaul of the menu. “I was straying too far away from how I cook at home,” he says, noting his own Puerto Rican and Dominican background as well as his wife’s Indian and Pakistani roots.
