Thousands of customers found themselves without internet or broadband across a sizeable part of mid-Louth, including Castlebellingham, Annagassan, Dromin, Mooretown and surrounding areas, for almost a week due to a major fault. Sinn Féin Councillor Pearse McGeough said: “The internet went down on Sunday 15th June for some people and then others began reporting lack of service in the days following.

Louth County Council, in collaboration with the Louth Local Sports Partnership (LLSP), will host a free Family Fun Day to celebrate National Play Day 2025 on Sunday, 6th July. The event, which is run in conjunction with St Kevin’s GFC, will take place at the club’s GAA ground in Philipstown, Dunleer, from 10am to 2pm.

Rampark NS in Lordship are holding an artisan craft market to raise much-needed funds for a new Autism unit for the school. People are encouraged to support the fundraising market which will take place at Rampark NS in Lordship this Saturday, June 21st from 11am to 3pm. There will be over 20 stalls on the day with a variety of local handmade products, a bake sale and refreshments, along with the much loved Muchgrange Gelato van selling sweet treats.

A powerful new radio series capturing the memories and social history of one of Dundalk’s most well known areas will air this month. The Seatown Series, a unique oral history project, will be broadcasted on Dundalk FM at 9am on Saturday 21st and Saturday 29th June, offering listeners an intimate glimpse into the lives and experiences of the Seatown community.
