CARTER COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — A Carter County house’s wall was torn through on Tuesday after a tree trunk crashed through it. First responders were at the scene Tuesday afternoon when News Channel 11 arrived. The home on Lick Skillet Road in Stoney Creek had sustained significant damage with visible wreckage. According to the Carter County Sheriff’s Office, a 911 caller alerted first responders to a possible explosion that damaged a home on Tuesday morning.

GLADE SPRING, Va. (WJHL) — Authorities are searching for several stolen head of cattle that were reportedly stolen from a Glade Spring farm. According to the Washington County, Virginia Sheriff’s Office, the cattle were stolen from a farm near Exit 32 off Interstate 81. The sheriff’s office believes the theft occurred sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning. A bull, five cows and three calves, owned by C.H. Cattle Company, were taken.
