CANTON ‒ One person is dead after being hit a vehicle. The 43-year-old pedestrian died after the collision around Cleveland Avenue and 32nd Street NW, said Tammy Wilkes, an investigator at the Stark County Coroner's Office. She said the man was pronounced dead at 12:17 a.m. June 6. His identity is being withheld pending the notification of relatives. CANTON ‒ Police are investigating after a 16-year-old girl was shot in the head on the night of June 3. The girl, a resident of the city's northwest section, was found inside a home in the 2100 block of Seventh Street NE. Police interviewed several people who were at the scene. LEXINGTON TWP. ‒ One person was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries suffered in a house fire reported at 8:32 p.m. June 2 at 16050 Greenbower St., north of Alliance. Assistant Fire Chief Bobbi Jo Lower said the first units, from the Alliance Fire Department, arrived to find the bungalow fully in flames. She said the home's occupant was outside when they arrived. Lexington Township firefighters arrived shortly after those from Alliance.
