GLENS FALLS – At least 100 people gathered in protest in downtown Glens Falls Thursday after a Glens Falls man was arrested by ICE earlier this week. Locals and immigration advocacy groups are calling for action after a Glens Falls resident was arrested by ICE Tuesday. Yuriy Zinovyev, 49, of Glens Falls, has lived in the United States for over 25 years with legal immigration status, according to his friends and Indivisible ADK, who organized what they called an “emergency protest” Thursday.

BALLSTON SPA – An investigation is underway after a fire occurred at the gas pumps at a USA Gas station in Ballston Spa Friday morning. The USA Gas station located at 991 State Route 67 in Ballston Spa had a fire at its gas pumps Friday morning. The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office reported that the cause of the fire remains under investigationA number of individuals reported minor injuries, but no serious injuries were reported, the Sheriff's Office announced around noon Friday.

FORT EDWARD – After once again declining to accept a plea agreement, the trial of a Washington County man facing multiple charges alleging he raped and sexually assaulted a child is set to begin Monday. Jose Argueta, 27, of Easton, appeared in Washington County Court Tuesday afternoon alongside Washington County Supervising Assistant Public Defender Dustin Bruhns and a court translator, as English is not Argueta’s first language.

VICTORY MILLS – Two juveniles have been charged with third-degree arson, and second-degree trespassing after a fire destroyed the mill in the village of Victory Mills Saturday. The two juveniles, who are both 14-years-old, have been accused of intentionally damaging the building by starting a fire, and of knowingly and unlawfully remaining in the building which was designed to exclude intruders, a press release from the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office stated Sunday.
