The Bradford race ace picked up his first TT success at the world’s most famous road race since 2019 on Tuesday. His Honda Fireblade was a class apart in in the Superstock race, as he obliterated the field with an astonishing performance. He came home 11 seconds ahead of second-placed Davey Todd, while he finished more than half-a-minute clear of one of the other pre-race favourites, Michael Dunlop.

The half back went into last Sunday’s game at Doncaster on 997 points for his career, just under half of those coming in his three spells with Bulls, two permanent and one on loan. With Jordan Lilley on kicking duty, it looked as if the 29-year-old would have to wait to hit four figures, unless he could score a try. But Keyes’ half back partner was forced off with injury early in the second half, meaning James Meadows, playing at full back, took over.
