The bill, Senate File 2626 , by Minnesota Senator Steve Drazkowski, R-Mazeppa, and co-authored by Senator Aric Putnam , D-St. Cloud, received its first hearing on April 3 in the Senate Taxes Committee.

    Larry James Fix, 79, of Rochester, MN, passed away on Friday, April 5th, 2025, after a short illness. Larry was born on September 26th, 1945, in Winona, MN, to John and Opal (Potter) Fix, joining his brother Keith and sister Patricia. Larry graduated from Dover-Eyota High School in 1963. He cherished reconnecting with friends and classmates at the annual Golden Grads Celebration. After high school, he served in the US Army and spent several years in the Army National Guard.

    Jennifer Anne Dervin (Jenny) passed away April 4, 2025, after a hard-fought battle with oral cancer. She was born in Eau Claire, WI on May 15, 1967, to Jane and Orville Larson. She spent her childhood in Colfax, WI, attended UW-Stout, and graduated with a degree in Applied Mathematics. She moved to Rochester in 1989 and spent the next 32 years as a software engineer with IBM until starting a disability leave in 2021.
