STAMFORD - Ellen Wink was struggling with "anxiety, fear and anger" as a result of a mental health condition at the time of the fatal shooting of her tenant, Kurt Lametta, according to a clinical psychologist. Dr. Jessica Pearson, a clinical and forensic psychologist, testified Monday afternoon that Wink, a former Norwalk official, was suffering from adjustment disorder as a result of the contentious landlord-tenant relationship with Lametta.

STAMFORD — City police are asking for the public’s help identifying a group of people who they say are responsible for throwing fireworks inside of a parked car and starting a fire. Sgt. STAMFORD — Detectives are investigating what they are calling a “very aggressive” shooting that left a 19-year-old city man injured with multiple gunshot wounds. Capt. Richard Conklin said the shooting happened around 11 p.m. Friday at the corner of Woodland Avenue and Pacific Street in the city’s Harbor Point neighborhood. STAMFORD — A West Haven man has rejected a judge’s offer in a case where he and another man are accused of robbing and dragging a Merritt Parkway rest stop employee in New Canaan in 2018. James Buster, 49, rejected a Superior Court judge’s offer during a disposition hearing at the state Superior Court in Stamford Thursday afternoon to plead guilty to first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery in return for seven years and one day in prison.
