The Webster City Community School Board will meet this Monday evening at 6:00 at their office on Des Moines Street. Monday’s board agenda includes the consideration of fund raising requests, review of contractual matters with school staff, the first reading of board policy 203 and open enrollment requests. There will be updates by superintendent Matt Berninghaus and from the board plus other matters.

Craig Lovelace, 73, of Webster City died Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Southfield Wellness Community. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 8, 2023 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Lois Lappin, 71, of Webster City died Friday, September 1, 2023 at Unity Point-St. Lukes Hospital in Cedar Rapids. A private family service will be held at Graceland Cemetery. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.

Two people were killed at mid afternoon Saturday in a motorcycle-truck accident east of Woolstock at 330th Street and Ida Avenue. The Iowa State Patrol identified the vicitims as 52 -year-old Eric Gustafson of Thompson,Iowa and 48-year-old Mindy Chandler of Waukee,Iowa. Reportedly an eastbound 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle operate by Eric Gustafson was following an eastbound 1995 Ford F15 pickup truck driven by Patricia Krieger of Woolstock.
