The water company is urging customers to think twice before they flush or drop things down a drain, after engineers pulled a bizarre collection of items from the region’s sewer pipes, including a toy car, armband, football, and even a traffic cone.

New owners Clint and Tara Gilbert opened for the first time on Monday after taking over the Café on the Quay on Exchequer Quay, Penryn. Not only has the café got a new logo but it has had a complete overhaul with a wood lined interior and wooden cladding on the outside. They will of course still be offering the Full English the café was famous for as well as coffees, teas, toast, paninis, lunch and cakes.

The assault is alleged to have happened in Longdowns (Image: Google Streetview) Police are appealing for witnesses following a sexual assault near Penryn. Officers were notified following the incident which took place at the bus stop in Longdowns between 8am and 8.30am on Thursday 3 April. It was reported a teenage girl was waiting at the bus stop when she was approached by a male suspect. The suspect made lewd comments before sexually assaulting the victim.
