A slow first half resulted in a 0-0 score to start the second, but it wasn’t without effort. Crusaders continued to knock on the door, and it was only a matter of time before they scored first. Second half is exactly where the offense shined for Kapaun, where they would score 6 goals in just 17 minutes left of play.

    WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - As the early season is underway for high school girls soccer in the state of Kansas, Goddard and Eisenhower high schools hosted their Goddard Soccer Tournament bringing in a field of eight teams. Thursday night it was one of the two host schools hoisting the hardware as Eisenhower topped Rose Hill 4-0 in the championship game. “This is the first time we’ve won this with the girls with me as head coach,” said Eisenhower head coach Roger Downing.

    Share WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) - Bishop Carroll’s softball team has been known to swing for the fences. The Golden Eagles won their 15th state championship last season. The program has seen so much success that it’s coached by the very players that helped it get to the top. With last year’s title, Carroll has now hoisted the trophy more than any other softball program in state history. To continue bringing that success, the Eagles looked to their past.

    WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH/Gray News) - A Kansas woman who’s battling a terminal illness is getting the help she needs from the community. Esther Farrell beat cervical cancer and was declared cancer-free in December 2024, only to be diagnosed with terminal cancer two months later. “It was tumors on my brain, and they have also spread,” she said. But the bride-to-be says she is still planning to walk down the aisle.
