Dickinson man arrested for pepper spraying police

DICKINSON, N.D. (KFYR) – Dickinson Police arrested a man for pepper spraying officers during a traffic stop Thursday night. Police said an officer conducted a traffic stop and recognized 32-year-old Charle Kramer III, of Dickinson, who had a warrant out for his arrest. The officer said Kramer refused to cooperate, and so he called for backup. Police said when the backup arrived, Kramer pepper sprayed several people including the officers.

Releases from the State’s Attorney’s Office and the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation both determined the officers’ use of deadly force was justified.

Williston Police search for missing woman

USPS audit expands to include more North Dakota cities

BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - The United States Post Office is expanding its audit to include more North Dakota offices. Dickinson, Grand Forks and Fargo facilities are additions to the list of facilities under review. The audit is ongoing in Bismarck, Mandan and Minot. USPS is investigating mail and newspaper delays and broken cluster box units. It is also looking into whether moving some mail processing facilities is a viable option. The audit should be done by late March or early April.

Two men arrested for Dickinson Dollar General burglary

DICKINSON, N.D. (KFYR) - Dickinson Police arrested two men for burglary. Police say 24-year-old Dondea Smith and 30-year-old Destin Handy broke into Dollar General on South Main in Dickinson stole merchandise and left. Police say they released the store’s surveillance video to the public and received tips pointing to Smith and Handy. Police say 39-year-old Aaron Asay was last seen at his home in Dickinson Wednesday around 6:30 p.m.They say Asay has a history of seizures and does not have his cell phone, wallet or glasses with him. They say he is 5′7″, 180 lbs, with blue eyes and brown hair. Severe damage to Minot home after fire

MINOT, N.D. (KFYR) - A cooking fire severely damaged a home in southwest Minot Wednesday evening. Firefighters say no one was injured, not even the homeowner’s cat, but the main floor is severely damaged. When the homeowner reported the fire around 9:45 p.m., they said the stove was on fire and it was spreading rapidly. By the time crews arrived, the flames were visible through the front door and kitchen window.
