All four municipal liquor operations in the Heartland Lakes area posted net profits in 2023, according to a recent report from the office of Minnesota State Auditor Julie Blaha. Leading the area in gross sales and dollars of net profit was Park Rapids’ own Rapids Spirits Liquor Store. Meanwhile, Menahga’s Northbound Spirits saw the highest net profit as a percentage of sales, ranking 18th statewide.
