A five-story apartment building and townhouses have been proposed for vacant land on Des Plaines’ east side. A real estate company wants to put up the structures at 9600 E. Golf Road. Located on the south side of Golf Road and just east of Interstate 294, the roughly 14-acre site once was home to an operation called the Fisherman’s Dude Ranch, city documents indicate.
